What-nots...
Hi there, I'm not sure if anyone is listening, but I'm here to ramble.
Life is interesting, still, I wouldn't want to paint it. Earl is sculpting away, the company who contracted him to sculpt 2 tiny figures for (you're familiar with them I'm just not going to name them... Just in case....), well, they have made about their 1 millionth change. Even with the millions of drawings what have been done of these characters over the past 50 years, no one can seem to get it together what they ACTUALLY look like. Everyone has their own opinion, and are more than willing to comment. Earl is great, and says "they're the ones paying, so..." I feel bad for him having to change according to everyone's whims...
On to The Parents. New Orleans is a mess. The house is a complete loss... The photos are horrific... I'm glad we live in L.A.(not LA.) (for once). I'm frustrated, because everyone wants to help .... But not The Parents.... They're..... White.... So they couldn't be in need. Our church is going to go help the needy... They're going to spend church money for their members to fly there to help out... But for some reason, they're blowing us off when we ask about needing help for our family. The family got out with just the clothes on their backs, they have no home, their car was destroyed, EVERYTHING they have is gone. They exist on Social Security, but I guess they're not needy enough for the Katrina relief. We're beyond broke, and can't afford to fly there to help see if they can recover anything... So I sit, and stew.
I know, there are so many more people who are in need. I'm aware of this, I also have a natural instinct to protect members of my family. Is that a bad thing? I give to the church, and every charity that I can, I don't see why it's bad of me to want to ask for that money to be put to good use, INCLUDING someone I know.
OK, I'll stop. BUT! If you'd like to contribute, please go to : www.cafepress.com/katrinawear and BUY SOMETHING!!! All proceeds go to helping The Parents find a new home.
Thank you and good night!
